Christmas Rent Arrears
This month is the hardest time of the year for our Tenants to pay their rent, with the expectations of everyone to give presents and the timing of the actual Public Holidays for automatic rent payments.
Some of our Tenants will be struggling financially as they try to buy Christmas presents along with all of their regular expenses. Now is a good time to remind them they need to be aware that if their automatic payment for rent comes out on Monday or Tuesday, this year these days are Public Holidays, their rent won’t come out of their accounts until Wednesday the 28th December. The same applies for New Year’s with the rent coming out Wednesday 4th of January.
We have sent a Christmas letter to our Tenants making them aware to allow for there being extra money in their bank accounts for an extra three or four days, and to not spend it. This will, hopefully, help them immensely with their Christmas budgeting and ensures we get paid your rent on time.
